Forest school sessions to suit you
Our Forest School sessions are unlike most Forest Schools as they are individually tailored to children with additional needs. It is not unusual to hear of negative forest school experiences of children we support, where the forest school they have been to is busy with children and staffed by people who have no experience in working with children with additional needs. Sometimes, these situations, are too overwhelming, or difficult to understand and communicate with peers. Our aim is to have forest schools that suit everyone. It is such a vaulable tool to use and should be available for all needs.

One to one forest school
One to one forest school sessions will be available for those who need it. Please speak to us so we can tailor your requirements to suit your needs.

Small groups
We can accomodate small groups for forest school sessions. These consist of whatever is needed and the groups will be set up according to what young people and their families ask for or need. For example, some young people tell us they would like a child led forest school session but with no more than 5 childrern in of a similar age range. Other young people tell us they want small groups but with different age ranges as they find this easier which eases anxiety. All activities will be run by qualified forest school leaders who are trained in and have experience in working with children with additional needs. Let us know what you need and prefer.

Sibling days/young carers forest school
There will be forest school sessions that are run just for those who are siblings of children with additional needs or whom are registered as a young carer. These sessions will be geared towards supporting these young people in being able to socialise with peers who have similar experiences as they do in their home life, and also to give them an opportunity to have some fun with others in situations which may be famiuliar to them.
